Highlights include new watercolors by Tucson-based artist Elliott Jamal Robbins, who will open a solo show of new animations and works on paper at the gallery this September; new paintings by Roberto Gil de Montes, whose work has been highlighted in a well-received solo exhibition at the gallery this summer; and new large-scale paintings by Los Angeles-based artist Kate Spencer Stewart, whose abstractions summon and produce intense moods while highlighting their own materiality as simply pigment, simultaneously enveloping and evading the viewer.
