Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA)

Private Practices debuts the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive’s new collection and digitization of artistic ephemera of Asian American and/or Pacific Islander artists that make a living as sex workers. Private Practices will serve as an online and in person resource to explore the fetishization of female-identifying Asian bodies through the Archive’s holdings, namely screenshots, paystubs, apparel, set pieces, text messages, and other ephemera pertinent to sexual labor.
