In our main galleries is Queer Communion: Ron Athey—the first major U.S. solo museum presentation of the Los Angeles-based performance artist Ron Athey, that traces not only his life and practice since the 1980s but the many communities he has been a part of in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

In our Project Room is Kenneth Tam: Silent Spikes, a poignant two-channel video projection exploring archetypes of masculinity and the ways in which Asian men have been marginalized against the trope of the cowboy.
